“ Stumbled upon this burger spot while wandering around downtown. Service what you would expect for a sit down restaurant. Waitress was quick to take order and followed up with us frequently. Offered suggestions on our first visit to Phoenix. The burgers were a great twist traditional with a Mexican twist. And the drinks were also great too! A good place to pop into for a hearty burger. ”
“ Me and my bestie had a class to attend downtown, so we decided to stop here for dinner beforehand. A great choice ! Service was wonderful, atmosphere was very cool and chill, and the food was tasty! There were alot of things that sounded great on the menu, so it was hard to narrow down. We ended up getting the bone in al pastor wings to split, don't sleep on these! They were amazing! We also got the spicy BBQ burger to split , with a side of tater tots. The tots were perfectly crispy, and the burger was so flavorful. I loved the onion strings and sauce in it. Only downside is there is no parking for the restaurant itself, which is understandable since it is downtown Phoenix. I will definitely be back! ”
“ I had a fantastic Saturday night at Hamburguesas Y Cervezas in downtown Phoenix. The atmosphere was vibrant, and I even got to meet the owners, who were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic about their food and drinks. I started with The Joy Bus beer, which was both refreshing and flavorful--an excellent choice to begin the evening. Followed by the 67 Caddy Daddy margarita For the main event, I had the Ame burger, topped with bacon, guacamole, and pepper jack cheese. I couldn't resist adding a bit more heat with the habanero purée, and it made the burger even more delicious. To round off the night, I enjoyed The Music House beer. It was a strong, filling brew that paired perfectly with the rich flavors of the burger. Overall, Hamburguesas Y Cervezas offers a fantastic combination of flavorful beers and mouth-watering burgers. The personal touch from the owners made the experience even more special. If you're in downtown Phoenix, this place is definitely worth a visit! ”
“ I can't recommend this place enough. Went with friends yesterday to celebrate IPA day and grab a bite. Their draft beer selection is full of local greats. I went with my favorite church music from the shop. The can't miss item here is the Al pastor chicken wings. I can't believe I never have had this dish before. It's terrific. They grill the wings too which elevate the flavor even more. Lastly if you have room try the horchata cheesecake. It's decedent. ”
“ I liked everything about it. The service was friendly and efficient (must be local!) and the food, from beer selection to the decadence of the El Sinaloa dog, it was awesome. I loved the decor and I'll definitely return since there was so much of the menu I want to try. Downtown reeks of authenticity these days and this place absolutely belongs! ”
“ Had booked marked this place and been wanting to try. Had some downtime in downtown yesterday before having to get my daughter to the Phoenix Airport as her flight was delayed. We decided to go ahead and get a late lunch here. Since it was the weekend, (late afternoon) we had no problem with parking and were able to get fairly close without having to walk far which was nice because it was extremely HOT outside. That said, keep in mind that during the week and peak hours: it maybe harder to get to and you will have to pay for parking. Really neat decor in this spot. Very clean open concept and inviting. Plenty of seating and a nice bar area as well. Also, have a nice patio option for those cooler days. Specialty offers are featured throughout the space on chalk boards and lit wall fixtures that include their fabulous flavored chicken wings & drink items which also highlights their Happy Hour options. Our server was Christina. She was sweet, engaging & attentive. We had 6 in our party & we all chose a different hamburger amongst us. One person chose the Don Pastor Torta, Two got the TB Burger, One Ame's Burger, a J Chew Burger and lastly a spicy BBQ Burger. Each plate included a choice of fries, tots or a side salad (additional charge). Wait time wasn't bad as our group was enjoying a few horchatas and a cold beer. All the burgers were really tasty. The TB Burger (if you like mustard) is a delicious choice as its patty is cooked in the condiment & makes it extremely tasty. The Torta was a disappointment. The texture of the chicken was off putting. Had a slimy texture and hard to bite through. I questioned if it could have been bad and my husband didn't think so as it didn't taste or smell like it was, but it was kinda questionable IMO. The BEST burger in our group was the J Chew Burger. Hit the palate with many notes of sweet, salty, savory and spice. Complements to the cooks as ALL burgers were cooked medium as requested. For dessert we had to try their horchata cheesecake. It's a thick slice of delight. We all had a spoon to taste/ share and it was the perfect finish to our meals. One discouraging thing was that at the end of our lunch and prior to receiving or paying our bill- our server told us that with a crew of 5 or more there is an automatic 20% gratuity. This is generally what we pay anyway with good service, but did not like being told this as their menu specifically states it's for a party of 8 or more (see pic). As she was telling us this I almost called her out of her flawed statement, but refrained. Overall food was good, the atmosphere pleasant & a place we would consider again if in the area. This location has been here for several years, seems to do a profitable business and are in talks about expanding the menu for a brunch selection which is a wonderful idea. The owners also have another restaurant in the area that serves Mexican Food and that site seems to be known for their super tacos too! ”
“ I was looking for a quick bite in Phx when I stumbled upon this spot on Yelp with almost 5 stars so I knew I had to go try it. They have a kids meal and lunch specials that are great. The restaurant is open, spacious and vibrant with indoor and outdoor seating. I was greeted right away and the service was wonderful. Our food was prepared quickly and was fresh and tasty. I didn't try a beer but I did have a mimosa and it was fabulous. The blue cheese wedge side salad was everything. It was refreshing and flavorful and next time I'll probably get the full size one. It's a great restaurant and I would definitely recommend! ”
“ Our Sunday adventure led us too downtown Phoenix where we were able to discover a gem that seamlessly blends the best of Mexican flavors with classic American comfort food. This vibrant burger spot, with its uplifting atmosphere and colorful decor, instantly set the stage for an unforgettable culinary experience. Upon stepping inside, we were greeted by open windows and patio doors, inviting the lively energy of downtown Phoenix into the restaurant. The decor, adorned with fun and vibrant hues, further enhanced the cheerful ambiance, setting the perfect backdrop for our meal. Our waitress, embodying the spirit of hospitality, guided us through the menu with genuine warmth and helpfulness. With an array of tantalizing options to choose from, we ventured beyond the ordinary and opted for the chorizo burger--a bold choice that did not disappoint. Bursting with flavor, adorned with jalapeños, and drizzled with habanero sauce, each bite was a fiery delight that left our taste buds tingling with satisfaction. But the culinary adventure didn't stop there. We also indulged in the Mexicano burger another masterpiece, each bite delivering a perfect balance of spice and savory goodness. The culinary team behind these creations has truly mastered the art of infusing just the right amount of heat to tantalize the palate without overwhelming it. Their fries and tater tots are equally as amazing. To complement our meal, we savored sips of their phenomenal black tea, a refreshing accompaniment that perfectly complemented the bold flavors of our burgers. Each sip was a testament to the freshness and quality of their beverages. Beyond the delectable food and inviting atmosphere, this establishment goes the extra mile to cater to sports enthusiasts, offering a prime viewing experience for basketball games. Whether you're a die-hard fan or simply enjoy catching a game while dining, this adds an extra layer of enjoyment to an already exceptional dining experience. In conclusion, if you find yourself in downtown Phoenix craving a culinary adventure that transcends the ordinary, this burger joint is an absolute must-visit. From the lively atmosphere to the unforgettable flavors, it promises a dining experience that will leave you craving more. ”
“ First of all how beautiful is Arizona in February! Cover of GQ status! House salad is insane! Great size good to split for 2. Pastor chicken wings! What! Never considered that a flavor for wings but they hit the spot with a smoked flavor and all the pastor or adobada flavors, don't come at me you know they are damn close michelada gave me Sonora nostalgia. Music on point and servers are so nice that if you go in and act wrong your probably the mean one haha Food, staff, drinks environment all tip top! ”
“ This place has been on my Hit List. I was nearby and hungry...the perfect match! The establishment itself is cool...exposed brick inside with lots of twinkling lights outside on the patio and trees...gave it somewhat of a cozy vibe. I was quickly greeted and took a seat at the bar. Service was great! The Food: I got the Chorizo Burger and fries. The burger was huge and very tasty. I left full and satisfied which is always a plus. The fries are probably in my top 5 ever...you gotta try them. Although now I wonder how good the tots are...I'll have to go back and try. The only downside was the parking, but A.) I didn't come here for the parking I came for the food, and B.) It's downtown Phoenix so duh. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm gonna hit this place up again. I need to try the Spicy Burger, the tots and that Churro Cheesecake!! ”
